Relevance of "SAMA-CHAKEBA"

The mythological aspect :-
Sama-chakeba is originated to some excerpts of ancient ‘Padma Puran’.There is some  reference   about the love  and sacrifice  of Samb, the son  of Lord shri Krishna for his sister named Sambwati.  It is mentioned that a villain like character named chudak (known as ‘Chugila’  in Mithila)  always intimated  untrue story of each and every movements  in kingdom to Lord Krishna. Once, he tweeted to Krishna  that  Sambwati  was perhaps  making   love  with Rhishi while going  on the way to Vrindavan .  Being angered, Krishna  had  given   Shraap(bad curse ) to his daughter and  Rhishi  to embody the life of a love bird ‘MAINA’. And it happened instantly. Knowing this, the husband of  Sambwati , named  Chakrawak (  called as ‘Chakeba’ in Mithila ) passionately self  embodied   the life of ‘Maina’ in  deep sorrow to have the company of his beloved wife. This incident shocked  Samb ,the brother of Sambwati .He immediately sat on Tapasya  or on wish dream puja unto the reversal of Shraap/ Curse . Seeing samb’s love and sacrifice  for his sister, Lord Krishna , became happier and gave blessings and reversed  the Shraap  for the happiness of  the family .Thus , the immortal love and sacrifice of Brother for the sister is being celebrated as Folk festival  ‘Sama –Chakeba’ by the Maithil sisters  for their brothers’   long life   and happiness  in all over  Mithila .

  1. Dear Sir
It exposes that anger and curse are also a compulsory parts of human and god nature. Well I respect the feeling of brother towards sister but as god Lord Krishna should have been knowing the lies told by the villain.
